My name is Melody Walker, and I am a language arts teacher, costume designer, and vintage seller! I am always asked by my family, peers, and people I pass on the street how on Earth I got into this lifestyle. For me, it isn't just about the clothes, home decor, or music and films; it's a state of mind. This vintage lifestyle has created a constant source of inspiration for me. When I curl my hair just right, put on the red lipstick, the vintage dress, and accessories, I truly feel like I can take on anything that comes my way! For me, vintage is also about preserving black history. Not just our history of struggle, but also our history of glamour, entertainment, and milestones. This blog will showcase vintage styling, classic music playlists, vintage home decor, retro recipes and cocktails, and old film reviews.
